We Entertain is a premier entertainment and artist management company. It is comprised of 5 parts: We Manage, We Dance, We Film, We Music Group and the We Entertain Compound. Founded by entrepreneurial duo Chyna Williams and Johnny Lofton, WE is home to a mega entertainment complex and is the Atlanta stomping ground for some of the most successful entertainers in the industry.
WE is more than a company; the agency has made a mark by creating a culture within its clientele that resonates with the feeling of a giving and community. Johnny and Chyna share a lifelong interest in mentoring youth and propagating the unifying power of art, music and artistic expression. Chyna and Johnny met at Walmart and sparked a random conversation discussing giving back to the community. At that time Chyna was a co-founder of for a non-profit youth community center. Johnny quickly became the centers largest sponsor and he even served on the board of director as the Vice President.
As an operations manager Johnny Lofton inspires and champions independent creative pursuit. He is a born creator who pushes his team to think independently and dares them to take creative risks.
Although Johnny holds degrees in electronic technology, technical management and business administration, his style is anything but traditional. Johnny absorbs information and synthesizes it in a variety of ways that allow his team to further their creative pursuits. As a manager, mentor, and creative individual, he understands that for developing artists the greatest opportunity lies in trying new things and learning directly from experience.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Chyna brings to We Entertain over fifteen years of experience managing her own successful businesses while working with youth and dancers. Responsible for the professional and oftentimes personal well-being of her clients, she manages the intricate operation of the We Entertain Compound and fosters critical industry relations. She books jobs and manages itineraries, makes deals and develops workshops, and in the midst of it always finds ways to give back to the community. She is a manager and an entrepreneur, an industry professional, and a professional juggler.
WE is comprised of a group of talented young people working in one of the most sought after industries in the world, chasing their dreams and working together to create a legacy. Like a large group of brothers and sisters from different walks of life, they come together to form an extended network of support for one another. In many ways members of the team have raised each other. They know each other’s families; they’ve shared meals and holidays, and even lived together when times have been rough. Through hard work and dedication to their craft, they now get to travel the world and continue to chase their dreams as part of a larger collective.
Since We Entertain’s conception in 2008, the company’s roster and client list has grown to include some of the hardest-working dancers, choreographers, actors, producers, writers and music artists in the industry. WE currently manages twenty-six entertainers, the majority of which have been involved since its inception, and a number of new talent that has been selectively chosen to become part of the extended network of family.
We Entertain manages two of the top dance crews in the nation, Collizion Crew and Jungle Boogie Crew. They’ve traveled all over the world and been featured in shows like American’s Best Dance Crew, So You Think You Can Dance, and American’s Got Talent. WE dancers and choreographers regularly tour and perform with the top artists in the entertainment industry, including Usher, Jason Derulo, Justin Bieber, Austin Mahone, Ciara, Nicole Scherzinger, August Alsina and TLC among others.
As actors, dancers and choreographers, WE talent has graced the screen of top Hollywood films including Pitch Perfect 1 and 2 (dancers and assistant choreography), Get On Up: The James Brown Story (dance and choreography), Kill The Messenger (acting) and Alvin and The Chipmunks 4 (dance and choreography). Most recently, Shameik Moore starred in the major blockbuster hit Dope.
Although the WE team is busy touring, traveling and creating, they continue to live grounded according to the same principles that have always united We Entertain. One of the most important ideals at the Compound is the transition from ME to WE. Those who truly mesh at WE have learned that it is not a matter of relinquishing individuality, but rather it is about learning to think outside of one self to see the bigger picture.
WE’s culture is based on respect, unity and hard work. It’s about inspiration and pushing each other to be the greatest version of self, creatively, professionally and personally. Most of all it’s about knowing that someone will always be there to push you back and support you when you most need it.
In many ways WE functions as modern day learning center for the creative souls that vibe, create and work behind its doors. The 20,000 sq. foot warehouse complex houses the We Entertain office headquarters and is also home to state-of-the-art dance, recording, film and photography studios. With its many services, the clients at WE have the possibility to interact and learn from other professionals whether they are engineering music, writing blogs, dancing, choreographing, filming or even managing a business.
There are a number of people doings all kinds of things at all times at the WE Compound as the team works together to achieve a shared goal. WE is a self-sufficient business; every aspect of the entertainment experience is created, produced and marketed under the same roof.
The modern, funky and undeniably creative vibe at the We Entertain facility has attracted a number of reality TV shows to be filmed in its interior, including The Braxtons, Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta, Double Divas and American’s Got Talent. The Compound is the preferred rehearsal spot for a number of mega artists when they are preparing for global tours
When not utilizing the facility, We Entertain also makes its studio space available to the local creative community for rent at some of the lowest prices in the industry. The goal is to make high quality, professional accommodations available to entertainers of all budgets.
The talent at WE utilizes all the available resources to the max. When they are not on tour they use the studios to dance, make music, work on photography, videography and even to write scripts. Often you will find the team working on independent film projects, utilizing each other’s skills as actors, dancers, acrobats, writers and videographers to create projects that are later showcased to the world. WE’s dancers and choreographers teach classes when they are in town and often set up free workshops for aspiring artists to give back to the Atlanta dance community.
In the recording studio, the We Entertain Music Group team works hard to produce their own beats, write original tracks, record and engineer new music. They dabble in all areas of the music spectrum, flowing effortlessly from hip-hop bangers to tracks ridden in political commentary to pop and rock soundtracks. They sit in on each other’s sessions and feature their fellow label mates when they feel inspired, sharing their work, writing and music without jealousy or concern for who’s going to be in the spotlight.
What makes WE so impactful extends further than the size of its building, the number of services offered or even its extensive list of clientele. It is the understanding and respect for the true strength that is unleashed when a group of creative individuals believe, encourage, and keep each other humble.
Although the group of young entertainers have been very successful in an established industry, every day they choose to work on their craft with humility, passion and dedication to forging their own path. The team is encouraged to think independently, to tackle their dreams creatively and to envision how they may shape the industry that they’d like to be a part of instead of changing to be accepted into what already is. There are no visible barriers for We Entertain because every day the team dedicates their passion to building their own path.
